| 釉薬を掛けず、高温で還元焼成をして、土が本来持っている鉄分が表面に様々な景色を描くのを楽しみます。還元状態を作る為に、木炭や木灰などを入れますが、その量やv置き場所によっても雰囲気が変わります。図らずもの楽しみのあるやきものです。
This is plain pottery without glaze. High temperature reduction firing produces an earthy touch, and unexpected yet enjoyable “drawings” are seen on the surface due to various effects from iron the clay naturally has. It is also true that the result depends on the quantity and placement of the charcoal and wood ashes I put in to produce the reduction firing. It is simple, but its “surprise” gift from nature amuses me a lot. |

| 肩の一部にも細かい炭を濡らして付けました。
花入の周りにを炭で囲み、更にその周りをツクで囲んで炎を逃さないようにしました。下部の黒い部分は、炭が直接触れて出た色だと思います。 制作：2011年夏 焼成温度：1250℃、焼成時間：7時間。 When I fired this one I put some charcoal surrounding
it and put small pieces of charcoal on it's shoulder. I guess black color
on the bottom was caused by touching charcoal.

| この徳利は、大量の炭の上に作品を寝かせて焼成しました。半面に焼き色が集中しているのはそのためです。炭の量をもう少し控えた方が良かったかも知れません。
焼成温度は1250℃、焼き時間は7時間でした。 I fired this one laying down on a lots of charcoal.
So that the scorched color appeared only one side of the vase.

信楽焼〆花入
Sigaraki Yakishime Hana Ｉｒｅ

| 荒々しさを出すために、信楽粗目の土に赤土と小石を食ませて作った古信楽風の徳利型の花入です。全体に白樺の木灰を厚くまぶして還元焼成しました。
練りこんだ赤土に含まれた鉄分が、所々に面白い表情を見せています。 焼成温度、焼成時間は備前と同じです。 I mixed red clay and pebbles into granulated Sigaraki
clay to express wildness. I covered the whole vase with ash of white birch
and fired. The red color of the surface was caused by red clay in Shigaraki
clay.
